Recently, on her show No Filter Neha, Kartik Aaryan—a rare outsider who has cemented his status as one of the most dependable performers in the Hindi cinema industry—had an open discussion with Neha Dhupia. The Luka Chuppi actor opened up about his past hardships and his breakdown moments after getting a lot of rejections during the conversation. He also shared details about his upcoming production, Chandu Champion.
In a sneak peek at a forthcoming episode of Neha’s show, Kartik reflected on his difficult times in the business. He recalled, “I have also done those advertisements where I would just hold a placard and stand in front of the camera.” He admitted, thinking back on his outsider status, “I used to cry a lot.”
When so many of my auditions were denied, I used to feel absolutely horrible. Kartik amusingly gave “Ranbir Kapoor” the “PR ka pyaara award” during a Q&A session, winning Neha over with a “good answer.” Ranbir has frequently stated in the past that he is not represented by a public relations firm.
Discussing his challenging role in Chandu Champion, Kartik remarked, “Chandu Champion is one of the toughest films I have ever done.” Kartik went on a year-long sugar detox and had to train intensely to play the role of an athlete in director Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion.
