Lara Dutta: Women Are Paid One Tenth Of Men In Bollywood

Lara Dutta, an actress and former beauty queen, began her career in pageants and brought honour to her nation by winning the esteemed Miss World title. The stunning woman now made her Bollywood debut in the film Andaaz, which starred Akshay Kumar. For the stunning actresses, there was no turning back after that.

Presently, Lara is occupied with promoting Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond, her new drama series. In an interview with Indian Express, the gorgeous actress discussed industry pay equity. If the female performers receive even a tenth of what the male actors do, she believes that the women are lucky. As per her

“We put in just as much work as, if not more than, the majority of our male colleagues in this field, yet most women only receive, if they’re lucky, a tenth of what actors receive.”

“It’s a work in progress and there are many amazing women who have been a part of shaping that shift in perspective,” she continued.
