The president of the Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge, called the BJP’s “400 paar” boast “bakwas,” or absurd, and stated that the party will not win more than 200 seats in the Lok Sabha.
Speaking to the media in Amritsar, Kharge claimed that while the Congress and the INDIA alliance were gaining ground, the BJP’s seats were decreasing in comparison to the previous elections.
The National Democratic Alliance, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been asserting that it will secure more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha.

According to him, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is “not strong” in Karnataka and “non-existent” in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Telangana.
“There is a fight in West Bengal and Odisha, and you are weak in Maharashtra.” He inquired, “How are you getting 400 seats?
