Gorakhpur: BJP MP Ravi Kishan is “laapata” in this place where Yogi Adityanath is ubiquitous

Date:

Perhaps the only seat in India where Modi’s wave is shorter than Yogi’s is this one.

Another Uttar Pradesh pilgrimage city rich in culture and history is Gorakhpur. Not only is it the location of the religiously significant Gorakhnath Math, but it also has political significance as the previous residence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“We have no interest in finding out the identity of either actor and current Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan or Narendra Modi. When asked who she would vote for, Rachna Arya, a teacher in Chauri Chaura, replied, “We know Gorakhnath Math and its mahanth Yogi Adityanath.”

“My family and I never consider casting our votes for someone else. Modi has made hollow and meaningless promises. Kishan’s interests lie more on acting and commercials. The Gorakhnath temple offers Yogiji at least twice a month. He hears our grievances and responds right away. We would be losing out on his leadership if we did not get it. When he asks us to vote, we do so, she remarked.

Because he is “more interested in acting than working for the people,” according to the majority of Gorakhpur residents, Kishan remains laapata from his constituency.

Many people have admired Kishan’s final performance as a corrupt police officer who has a moment of redemption in Laapata Ladies.
