Jharkhand polls: PM Modi says JMM-led coalition is an alliance of ‘infiltrators’

Date:

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in his inaugural poll meeting in Garhwa, Jharkhand, on November 4, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong critique of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) coalition government. He condemned the administration for widespread corruption and a lack of effective governance, asserting that the people of Jharkhand deserve better.

Modi highlighted the achievements and welfare initiatives undertaken by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, emphasizing its commitment to the development of the state. He listed several key projects and policies that have positively impacted the lives of residents, positioning the NDA as a champion of progress and accountability in contrast to the current ruling coalition.

Accusing the Hemant Soren-led INDIA bloc of engaging in “politics of appeasement,” Modi argued that the government has prioritized favoritism and nepotism over the welfare of the common people. He asserted that such practices have eroded public trust and hindered genuine development in Jharkhand.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the electorate is ready for change, declaring that the people are eager to “uproot” the existing government and support the NDA. He used the metaphor of making the lotus bloom to symbolize the resurgence of the NDA in Jharkhand’s political landscape.

Modi’s address resonated with the sentiments of the crowd as he painted a picture of a brighter future under the NDA, encouraging voters to choose a government that is dedicated to transparency, progress, and the welfare of all citizens.
