On Tuesday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his belief that Ram Rajya will take root in the nation with the construction of the Ayodhya temple. However, he emphasized that this does not imply the establishment of a theocratic state.
Speaking at an intellectuals’ gathering in his parliamentary district, he explained that Ram Rajya does not imply a theocratic government but rather the growth of a people’s sense of duty and responsibility.
“We had declared that the core of our faith is Ram. The huge Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be constructed if we win the majority. You saw, that work was also done. Now I have started feeling that Lord Ram has now come out of his hut and entered his palace, hence I have a firm belief that Ram Rajya will begin in India.
