Delhi Police Registers FIR in Amit Shah’s Doctored Video

Date:

Following a complaint from the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding doctored recordings of Union Home Minister Amit Shah that were making the rounds on social media, the Delhi Police opened a case on Sunday, according to sources.

According to them, the Special Cell has filed a formal complaint under several IPC sections and pertinent IT Act provisions. According to Special Cell sources, there will probably be more arrests made around the nation.
A complaint submitted with the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre by Sinku Sharan Singh, DC, states that certain doctored movies are being shared on social media with “the intent of creating disharmony among communities which is likely to affect public tranquillity and public order.”
