The Delhi High Court’s recent ruling, a person’s travel itinerary constitutes “personal information” and is not permitted to be shared with a third party under the terms of the Right to Information Act of 2005 unless it serves the greater good of the public.

Justice Subramonium Prasad declared, “Travel information of any person is personal information and such details cannot be divulged to a third party unless the said information is in larger public interest which justifies the disclosure of said information.”
