Jharkhand Election: JMM and Congress will run for 70 of 81 seats

Date:

Chief Minister Hemant Soren declared today that the NDIA group will run united in the next Jharkhand assembly elections. According to him, 70 of the 81 assembly segments will see candidates from the Congress and the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
“At this time, we are unable to discuss the specifics of seat sharing. Right now, our alliance partner is not present. We will finalize the number of seats and other specifics when they arrive,” Mr. Soren told reporters, adding that discussions over seat-sharing are ongoing with the RJD and Left parties, the other alliance partners, for the remaining 11 segments.
On November 13 and 20, Jharkhand will hold two rounds of voting. The count of votes is scheduled for November 23.
