The government of Delhi establishes “committees” to address pollution at 13 “hotspots.”

On Friday, October 18, 2024, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that 13 places in the city suffering from “very poor” air quality had coordination committees established by the government to identify and address local sources of pollution.

During a press conference, Mr. Rai stated that although the air quality in Delhi is considered “poor,” it is especially “very poor” at 13 hotspots where the index exceeded 300.
