Dr. RN Das, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, was suspended by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Wednesday with immediate effect, according to an order.
Dr. RN Das, OSD to Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, has been suspended by VK Saxena due to his suspected involvement in irregular and unlawful private nursing facility registration. This happened when a Delhi hospital caught fire, killing six neonates.
In April, the Directorate of Vigilance served Das with a show-cause notice regarding the purported irregularities in the acquisition of various items, including gloves, masks, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, and Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) kits, valued at approximately Rs 60 crore, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.
