India sees an increase in heart disease insurance claims

Heart disease-related insurance claims are on the rise in India, indicating a growing health crisis and mounting financial concerns. As a result of an increasing prevalence of cardiac problems, heart-related claims have grown from 9–12% in 2019–2020 to 18–20% in 2023–2024, according to insurance aggregator Policybazaar.com. This tendency puts financial hardship on people as well as on India’s healthcare system.
