On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinted at a “conspiracy” behind the “sudden” decline in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s health. If the BJP were to form the government in Odisha, he vowed to appoint a committee to investigate the cause of the decline.
Modi declared that a complete majority administration would be formed at the Center for the third time in a row, fifty years after the last one.
“Is there a conspiracy behind the sudden deterioration of Naveen Patnaik’s health?” he said, speaking at an electoral rally here. Is the precipitous decline in his health the result of the lobby currently controlling the Patnaik administration acting on his behalf?”
“If the BJP forms the government in Odisha after the ongoing assembly elections, it would constitute a committee to ascertain the reason behind the deterioration of Patnaik’s health,” Modi stated.
